The Fremont Family YMCA's Never Played That Series is an ongoing program to engage youth in sports they've never played before! Over our 2-week session, 11- to 14-year-olds will receive a 30-hour crash course in sportsmanship, teamwork, and the backstories of sports in an environment that celebrates the trial and error of trying something new.

Participants will have the opportunity to play by their own rules by creating games of their own by the end of the camp. The program will teach structured sports with multiple free period options to show off skills in the games they know!

Week 1 (June 9-13): Wallyball, Disc Golf, Pickleball, Floor Hockey, Capture the Flag and more!

Week 2 (June 16-20): Crab Volleyball & Soccer, E-Sports, Pinball, Kickball, Soccer Tennis and more!

The FFY is dedicated to youth development and social responsibility. Our summer session of Never Played That Series is part of our Summer 2025 Swim & Sport Introduction Camp for 11- to 14-year-olds. This program was created to introduce our community's youth to fun, new sports they've never tried before and deliver a top-tier aquatics training that emphasizes safety, community, and responsibility.

Want to add on our afternoon Junior Life Saving Training? Visit the full program registration link here.

Swim & Sport Camp Requirements:

  • Junior Life Saving Training is not a swim lesson class. Participants will be required to take a swim test on the first day of the program to determine eligibility.
  • Guardians are required to complete waiver before youth can participate in either program.
  • Absences require notification via phone or email.
  • All-Day Participants must provide their own sack lunch.
