Looking for activities to keep your 11- to 14-year-old moving and engaged this summer? The Fremont Family YMCA is holding our first ever All-Day Swim & Sport Introduction Camp for preteens and teens looking to try out new sports from Pickleball to Wallyball in our Never Played That Series, or dive into summer aquatic preparedness with our Junior Life Saving Training.
The Fremont Family YMCA is dedicated to youth development and social responsibility. Our 2-week long Swim & Sport Camp was created to introduce our community's youth to fun, new sports they've never tried before and deliver a top-tier aquatics training that emphasizes safety, community, and responsibility. Participants can register for the full program or choose the time block that best fits their interests!
Ages: 11 to 14 years old
Dates: Monday thru Friday | June 9 - June 20
Times:
- Never Played That Series: 9:00am-12:00pm
- Sack Lunch Break: 12pm-12:30pm
- Junior Life Saving Training: 12:30pm-3:30pm

Costs:
- All-Day Swim & Sport Camp (60-hour program): Members - $280 | Potential-Members - $300
- Never Played That Series (30-hour program): Members - $165 | Potential-Members - $175
- Junior Life Saving Training (30-hour program): Members - $165 | Potential-Members - $175
Swim & Sport Camp Requirements:
- Junior Life Saving Training is not a swim lesson class. Participants will be required to take a swim test on the first day of the program to determine eligibility. (Prerequisites below)
- Guardians are required to complete waiver before youth can participate in either program.
- Absences require notification via phone or email.
- All-Day Participants must provide their own sack lunch.
Junior Lifeguarding Course Prerequisites:
Demonstrate the following skills:
- Swim the front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side.
- Swim the breaststroke for 25 yards continuously while using a pull, breathe, kick, and glide sequence.
Complete the Water competency Sequence
- Step into the water from the side and totally submerge.
- Maintain position for one minute by treading water or floating (or a combination of the two).
- Rotate one full turn and orient to the exit.
- Level off and swim on the front or back 25 yards.
- Exit without using a ladder or steps.
