Description

Always wanted to get into photography but never had the equipment for it? Or are you intimidated by the number of options outside of your auto settings? Join the Fremont Family YMCA's 4-Week Tech Tuesday Cell Phone Photography class to learn the basics of lighting, composition, and editing all from your mobile device - now open to all ages 9+! (Adult chaperones required for ages 9-12. Chaperones do not need to register, but are welcome to join in class discussions!)

The FFY will provide additional equipment needed for special assignments and projects. Registrants only need to bring their cell phone/tablet/camera device (or their adult's!) and have the option to download free editing apps validated by our instructors.

Instructors:

  • Kelby Bachman, graduate of the College of Journalism at UNL who double-majored in Sports Media and Communication and Broadcasting
  • Maya Peirce, freelance portrait photographer & graduate of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre & Film at UNL with a BFA in Filmmaking

Tech Tuesday at the Fremont Family YMCA is a multi-week program where kids 9+ are able to exercise their tech skills and learn the start-to-finish process of creating something new! This Summer Session will be focused on photography, from initial concepts to finished products.
